Mountain Mindset Corporate Adventure Activities & Events

KIT PACKING LIST

DAY SACK OR RUNNING PACK LIST

  • Daysack or running pack 20 to 30L with waterproof liner or cover.

  • Hiking Boots or trail running trainers that are worn in (important) not brand new.

  • Micro-spikes for crossing ice/snow fields. *

  • Hiking socks synthetic or Marino wool mix (one pair per day)

  • Waterproof Jacket

  • Waterproof Trousers

  • Running leggings or walking trousers and shorts (not just shorts). Zip-off trousers are the best option.

  • Thin Moisture wicking base layer T/shirt. (synthetics are best when it's warmer, merino wool or silk for when it's colder), one long and one short 

  • Mid Layer Fleece

  • Consider an extra warm top/fleece if the forecast is bad.

  • Gaiters, especially if hiking in June

  • Sun hat or cap

  • Warm hat (woolly or similar)

  • Thin pair of gloves

  • Thick pair of waterproof gloves (it can get really cold in June high on the passes).

  • Water bottle or bladder (1 - 2 litres)

  • Torch or head-torch

  • Hiking poles. *

MOUNTAIN KIT PACKING LIST

With you on the mountain (in daysack or running pack)​

  • Personal First Aid kit with:

    • Blister Plasters

    • Normal waterproof plasters

    • Non-adhesive dressing

    • Stretchy bandage

    • Pain killers

    • Any personal medication

    • Antiseptic/sterile wipes

    • Anti-diarrhoea

  • Mobile phone with roaming enabled and emergency numbers saved in favourites.

  • Snacks for the day such as trail mix and cereal bars

  • Mini alcohol gel

  • Sun cream

  • Sunglasses 

  • Survival blanket

  • Map and compass with the knowledge to use French IGN maps.

  • Spare boot laces 

  • Medical information of the group

  • Travel Documents:

  • Print out of your insurance policy and the policy emergency contact number. 

  • Passport on your person. 

  • Euros and Swiss Francs.

  • Itinerary and contact numbers

YOUR HOTEL HOLDALL

  • ​Towel

  • Spare boots if running in trainers

  • Book or Kindle

  • Swimming costume/trunks for a dip in the lake at Champex

  • Change of clothes for the evening so you can dry hiking kit if sweaty or wet.

  • Earplugs / Eye-mask

  • Wash kit/toiletries

  • Flip flops, crocs, trainers or similar to rest feet in the hotel

  • Talcum powder 

  • Party outfit for the end of event dinner

  • Adapter for European plugs

  • Mobile phone charger

  • Spare socks and underpants 

  • Spare T-shirts and base-layers
